It's the first social media website that I've seen that caters to a more mature business related audience. It's a great way to check a potential employees work history, references, etc. It is also a great way to start building connections for a business sense. I've never really got into most social networking / media sites because it doesn't hold real value for my every day life. LinkedIn however breaks that mold. I think it’s great you mentioned LinkedIn.
