I love the part about "If it's not working change it." When I'm in a situation I don't like I ask myself "Is there something I can do to change this situation?" If the answer is yes then I better do something about it. If the answer is no I better accept it and move on. There isn't really a reason to worry/complain/stress about anything. When I’m in a situation I don’t like I ask myself “Is there something I can do to change this situation?” If the answer is yes then I better do something about it. If the answer is no I better accept it and move on. There isn’t really a reason to worry/complain/stress about anything.

For close to 40 years, my dad made a living selling cars. This was way back when salesman received a salary, commission and a demo to drive. Basically, back when they were professional salesman who just happened to love cars. He was a great salesman; the kind who cheers for Alec Baldwin's character in Glengarry Glen Ross. Anyway, one day, he told me that the first sale of the day is to himself. If he's not confident and optimistic then no one would ever want to buy from him. For as long as I can remember, he had all of these quotes taped up all over his mirror and he would review them every morning while getting ready (btw, he's been retired many years now, and he still has the papers taped to his mirror). He sent me one a few years ago. It's pretty cliche, but it's about getting your feet moving, so... Every morning, when a lion wakes up, it knows it has to run faster than the slowest gazelle. When a gazelle wakes up, it knows that it has to run faster than the fastest lion. It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better start running.
