Why, Thank You and Other Shit You Need to Know
Today’s a pretty awesome day. I woke up to an email from colleague Oren Todoros telling me that the interview I recently completed for him was live. What I didn’t know is that I was going to be featured alongside such tech blogging heavy hitters like Andrew Warner (Mixergy blog) and Hillel Flud (Tech N’ Marketing blog). Well, slap my ass and call me Susie. Thank you, kind sir. Give the post a read: 4 Exceptional Bloggers You Don’t Know – Yet. I personally found, via the interviews and blogger recommendations, four new solid adds to my RSS reader. And no – I’m not going to tell you what they are. Put on your reading britches and enjoy the discovery process!
Janice Tomich also just invited me to dinner – and I’m totally stoked to be around a virtual table including the likes of Diana Adams (Adams Consulting Group) from Bit Rebels, Seth Godin, Roger Ebert, Daniel Pink and Tanveer Naseer. I told her that I’m probably more suited to work for the catering company doing her party, but hey! Janice, that’s a huge compliment and…wow. OK. I’ll buy you a pony – but don’t worry. It’ll stay in the yard during dinner!
Now, tomorrow is Thursday. That means there is probably a Bitch Slap coming along. And Friday? I have a tasty marketing treat for you – a “must haves” post. So, I’ll smack, you’ll ask for another (YES, MISTRESS!) and on Friday, you’ll get your just desserts.
In the meantime, RedheadWriting client Une Belle Vie was featured by Reuters in a brilliant article today. Special thanks goes out to Jill Thompson at Metzger Associates in Boulder, CO for securing the interview and a personal thanks goes out from me to the Jamali family. They’re a dream client – open to ideas, engaged and steadfast in their business ethics. If you’re lucky enough to have a Une Belle Vie among your clients, you’re livin’ good.
For those not familiar with the Une Belle Vie story, have a look at the article. Stop by their Facebook fan page and say hello and share your thoughts. They’re going to be launching a pretty cool contest in the next month or so, and if you’re quirky like me, you don’t want to miss it! You can also follow Melody Jamali on Twitter – her stream is a bastion for witty banter, odd news and great links (she also loves shoes…SWOON).
